How can counselling help me?

Life is sometimes difficult. It may be relationships, health, past experiences or other worries that cause us distress. There are also times when we can feel depressed or anxious, and have a sense that we are not living the life we would like.

Counselling can support you with depression, anxiety, relationships, loss, life changes, bereavement, and more.

Julia works in private practice as a Registered Counsellor, she previously worked for Mind in Mid Herts with a range of clients troubled by for example, mental health issues, depression and anxiety.

Julia is a registered of the member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and works with clients on a long or short term basis.

Welwyn Garden City

Kerrie Hipgrave MBACP(Reg)

Hello, my name is Kerrie Hipgrave and I am an experienced CBT and Person Centred Counsellor and a Behavioural Therapist based at Natural Health Therapy Rooms in Welwyn Garden City and at Countess Anne Primary School in Hatfield.

I counsel adults, adolescents and children from all walks of life and I have a deep and empathic perspective of the problems faced by each generation.

Whether it is anxiety, panic attacks, anger, depression, relationship issues or other issues, I can help to change confusion into clarity and find the happier you.

Counselling is not a ‘cure’. It is a safe, confidential setting where clients have autonomy to address personal issues at a comfortable pace with professional support.

My aim as your Counsellor is to give you the tools to become your own therapist. I also specialise in treating children who tic through Behaviour Therapy tics, which is a dynamic therapy proven to be as effective as medication.
